*What is Qurban/Sacrifice*?
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was once asked: “What is Qurbani?” The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (alayhissalaam). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (subhanahu wa ta’aala).” [Tirmidhi]
لِّيَشْهَدُو مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُومَاتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّن بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۖ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ
❝ THAT THEY MAY WITNESS BENEFITS FOR THEMSELVES AND MENTION THE NAME OF ALLAH ON KNOWN DAYS OVER WHAT HE HAS PROVIDED FOR THEM OF CATTLE.

*HOW TO GIVE MY QURBAN*
An average Qurban sheep in Nigeria cost about $220 dollars . We’re accepting donations for a full cost from Muslim that can afford and are obligated as prescribed by Islam. For Muslims that can’t afford a whole Qurban, you can donate any amount you can afford. The Qurban gifts will be distributed in Nigeria and each Qurban will suffice seven about (50) families living in poverty this Eid-ul-Adha. In sha Allah, we’re targeting to generate funds to cover 50 Qurbani.
There are millions of people in the world who live in extreme poverty and suffer from malnutrition. Hence, your donation will make them
enjoy Eid with their families just like we do.

Prices of Qurbani sacrifice
Cost of Qurbani includes the animal purchase, transportation, animal feed, butcher services, packaging, distribution and other operational costs. Since costs vary from location to location, remaining funds (if any), are utilized for Rafeeqee foundation operational costs.
Rafeeqee will perfom Qurbani on behalf of donors after all Eid prayers have been completed in the US.

*$200* – give a whole Qurbani sacrifice to about 25 needy families in the Northern part of Nigeria.
*$250* – give a whole Qurbani sacrifice to about 25 needy families in the Southern part of Nigeria.
*$650* – give a whole cow Qurbani sacrifice to feed 50 needy families.
*What Kind of Livestock?*
The kind of animals prescribed for the sacrificed are camels, cattle and sheep.
Our team ensures that all livestock purchased is healthy and ethically treated.

A sheep is good enough as a sacrifice for one man and the members of his household and his children, because of the hadeeth of Abu Ayyoob: “At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), a man would sacrifice a sheep on behalf of himself and the members of his household, and they would eat from it and give some to others.” (Reported by Ibn Maajah and al-Tirmidhi, who classed it as saheeh)
